    However, after the package is opened, this will not account for any cross contamination that may occur – we’ll get to that in a minute.According to the Subway allergy menu, the gluten free bread is also free of dairy, eggs, nuts, and gluten.It is vegan as well.

    Is Subway gluten free menu safe for coeliacs?

    What’s my own perspective on the matter?No, I’m not going to say yes.Because it is baked in a gluten-free environment, the Subway gluten-free bread in the sealed package would be suitable for those with celiac disease.However, some of Subway’s ingredients are not gluten free, and with all of the breadcrumbs flying around, it’s difficult to imagine how a gluten free sandwich could be be contaminated in this environment.According to the company’s website, various menu items and ingredients in our restaurants include gluten and are processed on shared equipment, therefore we cannot guarantee that our menu items are completely gluten-free.

    Similarly to most mixed-use restaurants, the best course of action will be to use your best judgment in this situation.However, I do not believe that a place with this much bread can be truly safe for someone who has celiac disease.To give you an example, the other day as I was ordering a Subway for my partner, I watched a waitress tipping the entire contents of a bread roll back into the fillings.These are the exact same contents that they would use to make a gluten-free sandwich, if they were to do so.

    Would I risk it?

    The only way I would consider eating this would be if it was prepared in an entirely distinct room, with completely separate hands, equipment, and fillings, and if it was done with completely separate fillings.However, based on my observations of Subway restaurants, the way the sandwich counter is set up simply does not take this into consideration.On Facebook, I’ve seen individuals share their positive experiences with gluten-free Subs, with workers in certain places going above and beyond to ensure that the gluten-free Sub is as safe as possible.The danger, in my opinion, is too severe.After previously working at a sandwich business, I am well aware of the fact that crumbs get everywhere.

    And after experiencing the harrowing experience of fillings being tipped off gluten-free rolls back onto the counter, I’m saying no.It goes without saying that anyone suffering from IBS or a wheat allergy will be OK if they don’t have to worry about cross contamination or are otherwise avoiding gluten.However, as a celiac, I would steer clear of it at all costs.

    According to the Quest website, the following are the complete nutritional data for the Pepperoni Pizza: To break this down, I’d have to study too many Twinkies, and there are too many schools of thought on nutrition for me to do so, but it’s evident that this pizza was not designed to be a nutritious miracle worker.However, it is vital to realize that this is FROZEN PIZZA, which means it is heavy in fat and notably salt.Pizza would not exist if the first and second conditions were not met.Also keep in mind that the price listed above is for half of the pizza, which is larger than a Celeste single pie.Quest’s Thin Crust Pizza bakes for just over 20 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit, straight from the freezer.

    To be quite honest, this isn’t the worst frozen pizza I’ve ever had in my life.The sauce isn’t bad, the pepperoni is pepperoni, there’s a ton of cheese, and it burns my lips exactly like real pizza.I’m not complaining, though.In fact, I don’t even detect much protein in the dish, nor do I find it to be too salty.
