    3. Try antipasto as a starter. A salad is usually always available at pizza establishments

Make sure there are plenty of vegetables on the platter before you dig in. In addition to high-fat processed meats and various varieties of delicious cheese, grilling or marinating vegetables may add flavor and fiber to a bland salad that would otherwise be served as an appetizer.
    5. Take another look at the white pizza. Despite what you may believe, white all-cheese pizza slices are not inherently better for you than other types of pizza. For starters, you’ll have to say goodbye to tomato sauce. Tomatoes are high in the antioxidant lycopene, which has been shown to reduce the incidence of some forms of cancer. Furthermore, many white pizzas contain four (or more!) varieties of cheese, increasing the calorie and saturated fat load of the dish.
    6. Experiment with different types of crusts. There are more possibilities for the base of your pizza than ever before, with anything from cauliflower to whole-grain options. What is the enticing factor? ″Most typical pizza crusts are composed of enriched white flour,″ explains Bethany Thayer, RD, a dietitian in Detroit and spokesman for the American Dietetic Association. ″It’s important to eat whole grains wherever possible.″ That’s simply plain white bread, nothing special. If your local pizzeria has a whole-grain crust, it’s a healthier choice because of the additional fiber it provides. The more unusual veggie-based choices (such as cauliflower, chickpeas, or butternut squash) are excellent for folks who are gluten intolerant or who wish to incorporate more vegetables into their diet plan..
    7. Do not order solely on discounts, but rather on hunger Who doesn’t appreciate a good deal? Even while flashy specials or promotions might be appealing, you will only save money if you do not purchase more than you would have ordered without the promotion or special. If you’ll wind up with a free drink, dessert pizza, bigger pie, or an order of breadsticks that you wouldn’t ordinarily purchase, don’t bother with the promotion.
    8. Set up a toppings station. . The next time you host pizza night at home, set up a toppings bar so that everyone may construct their own own pie.
