- 7-8 oz fresh mozzarella thinly sliced
- 1-oz fresh basil leaves broken into bits
- 1 oz fresh mozzarella torn into pieces
- Preheat the oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Drain the tomatoes and purée them in a food processor until smooth (or blender). Add the olive oil, oregano, dry basil, salt, and pepper to the food processor and pulse until well combined.
- Spread the sauce over the pizza dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border around the perimeter for the crust to adhere to the dough. Make a layer of the thinly sliced tomatoes on top of the sauce and set aside. Over the tomatoes, arrange the sliced mozzarella in a line.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the crust is beginning to become golden brown, depending on your oven. Remove the baking sheet from the oven.
