Meat Lover’s Pizza
- Homemade thin crust pizza with two varieties of cheese, bacon, ham, pepperoni, and hot sausage on top! This dish is a must-make for meat lovers. Preparation time: 1 hour and 10 minutes Cooking Time: 20 minutes 1 hour and 30 minutes is the total time. Main Course: This is the course you are looking for. American cuisine is served. Dinner and pizza are two of the most popular options. 1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil if desired
- 3 plus 1/2 cups water
- 1/2 teaspoon active dry yeast 1/4 teaspoon granulated sugar
- 1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese
- 3 tablespoons Parmesan cheese
- 3-4 bacon pieces cooked and chopped
- 1/2 cup ham crumbled
- 1/2 cup hot sausage cooked and crumbled
- 1/4 cup pepperoni slices
- ground black pepper
- 1 1/2 cups pizza sauce
- Prepare the dough by mixing warm water that has been heated to 115°F with the yeast and sugar until well combined. Stir until the sugar is dissolved and set aside to prove
- in the bowl of a stand mixer, combine the flour and salt. Slowly pour in the yeast mixture while the mixer is running on low. Increase the speed of the blender, adding olive oil as needed or desired. In a separate basin, combine the ingredients until a ball forms, pushing away from the sides of the bowl. Transfer to a large oiled mixing bowl. Allow it rise in a warm place for approximately 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.
- In the meantime, fry the bacon and sausage. Prepare the bacon and ham by chopping them. Sausage should be crumbled.
- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Olive oil should be used to grease a baking sheet. Form the dough into the desired shape. Spread pizza sauce on top of the dough. Parmesan cheese and 1/2 cup shredded whole milk mozzarella cheese are sprinkled over top. Toss in the meat toppings. Finally, sprinkle with the remaining 1 cup mozzarella and freshly ground black pepper
- serve immediately.
- Preparation time: 15-20 minutes, or until desired crispness is achieved. Serve when still heated.
