Create Your Own Pizza- Ninja Foodi Recipe

  • Who has children?
  • If you do, I’m sure you’re familiar with the following exchange of words: ″What do you want for supper tonight?″ Mom inquires.
  • ″PIZZA!″ exclaim the children.

Pizza is something we want to order a limited number of times each week, unfortunately. And, to be quite honest, I’m getting a bit weary of eating basic cheese pizza from our neighborhood delivery place. We’ve come up with a solution!

In the Ninja Foodi, we are now able to prepare our own pizza! No longer must everyone agree on the ingredients to use; you can also avoid breaking the wallet by ordering numerous pizzas to accommodate the various topping preferences of everyone.rather of ending up with an abundance of leftovers (which we never consume!), you can include the entire family in the excitement of preparing their own pizzas!I’ve mentioned on numerous occasions that I ALWAYS attempt to incorporate my 12-year-old daughter in the cooking process, but she is adamantly opposed.

She does not have the same enthusiasm for cooking that I have.I was overjoyed when she proposed that we cook pizzas and offered to assist with the preparation. When we went to the grocery store, she chose the crust that she wanted (I proposed making our own, but she preferred to purchase pre-made), the sauce, and the cheese that she wanted.

  • When we returned home, she was giddy with excitement to get started in the kitchen.
  • When she arrived, it was around 10 a.m., so I begged her to hold on a little longer so that we could have our Create Your Own Pizzas for lunch.
  • When we first started making the pizzas, she was giddy with excitement and even offered to assist us in taking shots of her handiwork!

What?It can’t possibly be the same kid. However, it was.

Make your own pizzas in the Ninja Foodi was a terrific way to get the whole family together for a fun day of cooking! This was a tremendous victory for me!I hope your family had as much fun with the pizza and the time spent together as we did with ours.

Tips for this recipe:

  1. Participate with your family! Allow them to choose all of their toppings and to participate in the preparation and cooking of their meal.
  2. Investigate your refrigerator to see what you can find that you can use to top your pizza with.
  3. This dish is a terrific way to use up any leftover ingredients you may have. Pizza may be topped with just about anything. Consider the possibilities: you might use leftover mac and cheese or deli meat to top your pizza. Organize your fridge by utilizing the cheeses and veggies that you currently have.

PIZZA – NINJA FOODI SMART XL GRILL

  • Pizzerias are recognized to be one of the most popular dishes in the world, and they can be found at restaurants serving it for breakfast, lunch, supper, and as a snack.
  • A pizza can be made with tomato sauce, white sauce, or even barbeque sauce; there are also seafood pizzas and pizzas with mashed potatoes or buffalo chicken, and I’m sure you’re familiar with the addition of pineapples or anchovies.
  • There are many different types of pizza, and each one has its own unique flavor.

You can’t go wrong with this all-time classic, whether you prepare it Italian style, Chicago style, or just your way.It is possible to cook pizza in a variety of ways.In restaurants, pizza is typically prepared in Brick Ovens, or in a type of cooking system in which the pizza is placed on a conveyer belt and transported slowly through the oven until it comes out the other end of the machine completely cooked; you may have seen these in some sandwich shops.

Another common method of cooking pizza is in a conventional oven or grill, so I opted to cook my pizza on my new Ninja Foodi Smart XL grill, which I received as a Christmas gift. For this recipe, as you will see in my video, I used Pillsbury Pizza Crust.I had used this crust many times before when I made pizza in my oven, however the pizza crust tasted very different when prepared in my Ninja Foodi Smart XL Grill. The crust was light, airy, and crispy; it was neither doughy or squishy in the center; and it was cooked correctly and evenly across the entire pie.It was simple to prepare; the only difficulty I encountered was placing the crust onto the grill because the dough was too soft.

I recommend that you use pizza dough that has been cooled in the refrigerator; you should be able to handle it with ease. But I’m not going to go on and on about pizza and what to put on it since there is no right or wrong way to create a pizza.Instead, I’m going to leave it up to you to decide what you want to put on your pizza and then put it on your pizza.

  • As long as you prepare it according to your family’s preferences, you won’t go wrong.
  • If you don’t already own a Ninja Foodi Smart XL Grill and are considering purchasing one, let me assure you that there are a plethora of other recipes that you can prepare on this grill that you will absolutely love.
  • Pre-baking your crust for 5+7 minutes before adding your toppings will provide a crispier crust in the event that you do not have this grill available to you.

Please have a look at the video and recipe below and leave a comment if you like.Enjoy!A PIZZA IN THE NINJA FOODI SMART XL GRINNING STATION REDIENTS1 The following items are required: 1 Pillsbury Pizza Crust1 16oz Jar of Pizza Sauce 2 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil 4 oz of Pepperoni (optional) Mozzarella Cheese that has been shredded Mozzarella Cheese that has been freshly grated a quarter of a red onion, sliced 1/4 cup thinly sliced green bell pepper 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms, halved or quartered DIRECTIONS: To preheat the Ninja Foodi Grill, turn it on and select Grill from the menu bar.

Set to a certain value Thanks for reaching out.Pick 10 minutes, and the grill should be set to these settings when you select grill, but double check just in case.Remove the pizza crust from the refrigerator; I prefer doing this straight away while the dough is still cold.It will be simpler to work with because my dough set out and became soft and difficult to manage in the video; hence, using slightly cold dough will be more convenient.

Prepare a board or mat that has been lightly coated with roughly a tablespoon of Olive Oil before rolling out the dough. After the dough has been unrolled, brush the top of the crust with the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. When the grill beeps and says ″add food,″ set the crust on the grill grate and spread the dough evenly on the grill grate, taking care not to burn yourself on the hot grill grate. Then, using a spatula, spread the pizza sauce all over the pizza dough, leaving the borders of the dough free of sauce.

Top with cheese, onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms. After that, add the pepperoni and season the top of the pizza with a little of salt to taste, if desired.Bake for 5 minutes, then check to see if the toppings are done; if they are not, continue baking for another 1-2 minutes, and the pizza should be done.Remove the pizza from the grill and cut it into the appropriate size slices.

Enjoy!

How to cook Frozen Pizza in Air Fryer

  • The instructions on how to cook frozen pizza in an air fryer differ depending on whether you are using a stand-alone air fryer machine or an air fryer oven, such as the Smart Oven Air, to cook your frozen pizza. Prepare frozen pizza in an air fryer using the following temperatures and times: Stand on its own two feet. Preheating the air fryer at 380 degrees for 6 minutes is recommended.
  • Preheated Air Fryer Oven: 400 degrees for 12 minutes at high heat

In order to cook a frozen tiny pizza in the air fryer that is half the size of a personal size pizza, reduce the cooking time by half.

Air Fryer Pizza Rolls

  • Preheat your stand-alone air fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit before beginning to cook the air fryer pizza rolls.
  • Cook for a total of 6-7 minutes, stirring the basket every 3 minutes, until the vegetables are tender (half way through cooking).
  • If you want to make pizza rolls in an air fryer oven, start by preheating the oven to 400 degrees on the air fryer setting with regular convection turned on (this should be the default setting on most machines).

Cook for a total of 10 minutes, turning the pizza rolls halfway through the cooking time (half way through cooking).

How to reheat pizza in an Air Fryer

Making leftover pizza in the air fryer is a breeze! It’s impossible to overstate how simple it is to heat pizza in an air fryer. To reheat in a stand-alone air fryer, follow these steps:

  1. Preheat the oven to 360 degrees.
  2. Using the basket, place refrigerated cold pizza pieces in the oven for 3-6 minutes, or until heated through and crispy.
  3. Remove the slices from the oven and set them aside to cool for a few minutes before serving.

To reheat in an air fryer oven, follow these steps:

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375 degrees with normal convection on, using the air fryer preset
  2. Place the chilled, cold pizza pieces in the basket rack and bake for 5-8 minutes, or until the pizza is heated through and crispy.
  3. Remove the slices from the oven and set them aside to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Tips for the perfect Air Fryer Frozen Pizza

  • Do not defrost your pizza before cooking it
  • instead, cook it frozen.
  • Unless otherwise specified in the recipe, always warm your air fryer before using it.
  • Before heating the frozen pizza, spray the top with a little olive oil to keep the toppings from becoming soggy. If you are adding additional non-frozen toppings to your pizza, this is very important to remember.
  • It’s important to chop additional toppings into little pieces if you’re adding them to your pizza so that everything cooks evenly.
  • Reduce the temperature to 360 degrees if you see that your pizza is cooking too rapidly on the top. If you have a stand-alone air fryer with a basket rather of an air fryer oven, this is more likely to happen.
  • It is best not to lay your pizza on parchment paper or another liner in order to achieve the crispiest crust.

Can you bake a frozen pizza on parchment paper?

While it is possible to cook a frozen pizza on parchment paper, the crust will be softer as a result. To get a crispier top, you will want to dispense with the parchment paper and ensure that the crust comes into direct contact with the baking rack.

Homemade Frozen Pizza

  • To make your own handmade frozen pizzas, you may either buy a frozen crust from the supermarket or build your own from scratch.
  • This is ideal if you have specific dietary constraints, such as gluten free, or if you simply enjoy creating your own pizzas!
  • As an example, my favorite gluten-free pizza crust, combined with my favorite dairy-free/vegan cheese, is delicious!

Add the sauce of your choice to your baked and cooled or frozen pizza dough and top with any shredded cheese of your choosing to assemble.Add any thinly sliced vegetables and meats you choose, and then place the entire pizza on a flat baking sheet and freeze until firm.Once frozen, place it to an airtight zip lock bag or a food saver to prevent it from defrosting.

It is possible to preserve pizzas in the freezer for up to three months.Using the directions below, you may cook the dish directly from frozen.

How to Cook Pizza in an Air Fryer

Generally speaking, the following is the procedure to follow while making a handmade pizza in an air fryer:

  1. Cook the crust in the air fryer for 3 minutes on medium heat. Precooking the crust will assist you in achieving a crispy bottom without overcooking the toppings.
  2. Prepare the pizza in the air fryer by assembling it. The way most air fryers are constructed, it would be far too difficult to prepare a pizza and then move it to the air frying basket of the appliance. Keep the pre-cooked dough in the air fryer until you’re ready to top it with your favorite toppings. In other cases, such as when your air fryer is designed like a little oven and has a front-opening door, you may be able to build your pizza outside the air fryer.
  3. Continue to bake at 375 degrees F for approximately 7 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese has melted
  4. After allowing the pizza to cool (it will be boiling hot! ), eat it.

  • Spread your pizza sauce on top of it.
  • Add the cheese, and other desired toppings.

Place the pizza in the basket of the air fryer. In order to prevent my toppings from flying all over the place, I use an air fryer rack.

7-8 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and become golden brown, is recommended.

Can you make the pizzas ahead of time?

These pizzas are best served immediately after they have been cooked in the air fryer. You can prepare them in minutes, but if you are creating your own sauce, you may prepare it up to a few days ahead of time if you choose. You may also prepare the toppings for the pizza crusts a few hours before you intend to cook them and store them in the refrigerator.

Can you reheat pizza in an air fryer?

Yes! Using an air fryer to reheat your pizza is far superior to using a microwave, and it is also significantly faster than using an oven. Recipe Notes and Tips

  • This dish may be made with either a store-bought premade crust or a handmade dough. Pre-baking the crust is necessary if you are using handmade dough. Place the prepared dough in the air fryer and cook at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 3 minutes. To finish the pizza, remove the crust and cover it with your favorite ingredients. Bake it at 375 degrees for an additional 4-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling. I like to place a rack over my pizza to prevent the toppings from flying around the oven. If this is the case, simply place them back on the pizza and continue to cook

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour, plus additional flour if necessary
  • 1 store-bought pizza dough (6 ounces)
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil (divided)
  • 1 teaspoon oregano (optional).
  • Half a jar of pizza or alfredo sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup sliced tomatoes
  • Pepperoni slices (optional): 12–15 slices
  • Optional: dried oregano for garnishing the dish

Instructions

  1. Close the hood and insert the grill grate into the unit. Select GRILL, increase the temperature to the maximum setting, and reduce the duration to 6 minutes. To begin preheating, press the START/STOP button.
  2. While the unit is preheating, put flour on a clean work area in a uniform layer over it.
  3. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to a uniform thickness, using extra flour as required to prevent the dough from sticking to the rolling pin throughout the process. To ensure that the dough fits on the grill grate, it should not be rolled out wider than 9 inches across the surface.
  4. Half-a-tablespoon canola oil should be applied evenly to the surface of the rolled-out dough. Turn the dough over and brush the top with the remaining 1/2 tablespoon olive oil. For best results, poke the dough with a fork 5 or 6 times across its surface to prevent air pockets from developing during the baking process.
  5. When the machine beeps to indicate that it has reached preheating temperature, lay the dough on the grill grate. Cook for 4 minutes with the hood closed.
  6. After 4 minutes, turn the dough over and distribute the sauce evenly over the top of the dough. If desired, top with more cheese and pepperoni pieces.
  7. Removing the hood and continuing to heat for another 2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the pepperoni pieces are beginning to crisp
  8. When the cooking is finished, allow the dish to cool somewhat before garnishing with dried oregano, if preferred
  9. then slice.
