In order to avoid additional moisture in the stone expanding in a hot oven and cracking it, I would let it dry at least overnight before cleaning it with my oven cleaning solution, as seen in the photographs above (and like I do every time I clean my kitchen oven).After that, your stone will require something fatty to be baked on it in order to re-season it, but merely baking something greasy/oily, such as store-bought canned croissant rolls, is generally sufficient to re-season it.If you’ve bleached it and baked it at 500 degrees for an extended period of time and still aren’t satisfied with it, you can discard it.
