Appetites

Start With the Basics

  • Before you go into the specifics, you need consider the following fundamentals: What is the estimated number of persons you will be serving?
  • How many adults and children are going to be eating pizza tonight?
  • Is pizza the only thing you’ll be offering, or will there be other dishes as well?
  • Do you want to send a few slices home with visitors, or do you want to make enough for yourself and some friends?

Once you’ve figured out the answers to these questions, you can start delving into the delectable details while calculating how many pizzas you’ll need to purchase.

Figure Out the Slices Per Size

  • The size of the pizza you purchase will impact the number of slices that may be expected to be served by each pie: Small pizzas are typically between 8 and 10 inches in diameter and generate around six pieces each pie.
  • Typically, medium-sized pizzas are 12 inches in diameter and provide around eight pieces.
  • Approximately 10 slices will be provided by large pizzas, which are 14 inches in diameter.
  • In the United States, extra-large pizzas are 16 to 18 inches in diameter and will serve at least 12 people.

Please call ahead of time to confirm the quantity of slices per size for your pizzas before you place your order.

Don’t Underestimate Appetites

Obviously, if Uncle Joe can finish half of a medium-sized pizza and still be hungry, you know that a single pie will not suffice for your gathering.Despite the fact that it might be difficult to predict how many slices individuals will consume, it is important not to underestimate anyone’s appetite. When calculating the number of pizzas to order, three slices per adult and two slices each child is a decent starting point from which to build your estimate. If you know ahead of time that you will have visitors with large appetites for pizza, plan on one or two extra pieces per person just to be on the safe side.If your pizzas will be smaller in size or have a very thin crust, make sure to allow for an additional slice per person in your calculations.

  1. The following is an alternative method of calculating the number of pizzas you’ll need, based on a medium pizza size (eight slices) as an example:
  1. Make a calculation based on the number of guests you’ll be feeding and multiply the amount of slices per adult or two slices per youngster
  2. This quantity should be multiplied by the number of slices you may anticipate to obtain from the pizza size you’ve chosen.

For example, if you’re feeding five adults who will each have three slices of pizza, you’ll need to purchase two medium pizzas based on the above method.

Consider the Occasion

It’s critical to consider the time of day as well as the meal itself when planning your menu.If you’re planning a pizza-only lunch for two to four individuals, one big pizza should be sufficient for the occasion. When putting up a Sunday sports day spread of chips, dips, wings, and other finger foods to serve eight people, you may want to consider ordering two, three, or four pizzas to fill out your spread, especially if the event is going to linger for a lengthy period of time.Pizza and children’s parties go together like peanut butter and jelly.Pizzas in the medium size range are ideal for this sort of gathering.

  1. Rather than the typical eight slices per pizza, request that your medium pizzas be cut into 10 pieces when you place your order.
  2. However, even if you’re focused on providing food for kids, some parents may want a slice or two while they’re picking up and dropping off their children.

Top Off Your Planning With Toppings

  • Nobody likes to get into a squabble about pizza toppings. Pizza toppings, on the other hand, continue to be a topic of contention among pizza purists. According to a YouGov study conducted in 2019, pepperoni is the most popular pizza topping among 52 percent of Americans, with sausage coming in at number three on the list at 34 percent and mushrooms coming in at number three at 31 percent. Bacon and plain cheese were only two of the top three choices among the 20 percent of pizza eaters who took part in the poll. Before placing your order for pizza, gather your family’s input on their preferred toppings in order to prevent a pizza-fighting situation. If all you have to deal with is simple cheese, pepperoni, sausage, and peppers to serve three people, then one pizza should be more than enough space to do the job. Consider the following example: one large pizza might be divided into three thirds basic cheese, one-third pepperoni, and one-third sausage and peppers. Don’t forget about the people who enjoy simple cheese pizzas. You should save around one-third to one-half of your pizzas as basic cheese if you’re buying numerous pizzas for your gathering. Pequod’s also provides a delicious selection of vegetarian pizzas to choose from. Keep the following considerations in mind while choosing your pizza toppings: When making specialty pizzas with a mixture or range of toppings, it is vital to know the toppings your guests love before you begin. If you’re unsure, don’t be hesitant to ask for clarification. In any other case, you may find yourself with a lot of leftovers.
  • The addition of additional toppings, such as more than two toppings per pizza, will result in a somewhat thicker pizza than the same pizza with a single topping. Extra toppings on your pizza, when combined with speciality or thicker crusts, will give each slice more bulk than a thin-crust pizza with a single topping.

Know How to Place Your Order for a Group

  • Parties and family get-togethers with a dozen or more guests necessitate the following specific considerations: Choose the biggest pizza size that is available: Despite the fact that an extra-large pizza will be more expensive than a medium pizza, the cost per slice will be less expensive than pizzas of a smaller diameter. Your order’s overall price will be lower as a consequence of this reduction.
  • To prepare for expected leftovers, gather the following ingredients:
  • Consider how many visitors may ask for a piece or two to take home with them once they have finished their meal. After all, pizza tastes just as good the next day as it does the day after that – even for breakfast. When placing your order, round up to the next dollar and request an additional pie.

Another word of caution: it takes time to create the perfect pizza for your visitors. The fact that you’ve ordered in advance of your party provides the opportunity for your preferred delivery crew to have the time they need to cook your pizzas just the way you want them.Is it still unclear how many pizzas you should order? You may just place an order from Pequod’s Pizza the next time you’re hosting a meeting in the Chicago or Morton Grove areas, and we’ll work with you to determine exactly what you want.

  • However, there are certain exceptions to this rule, just as there are to every other norm.
  • We’re here to assist you in answering these and other questions with our list of suggestions for ordering pizza for a large group of individuals.

How to Calculate How Much Pizza to Buy for a Group

  • This question might appear to be incredibly scary at first glance. After all, aren’t there a plethora of variables to consider? You must take into consideration the following: What is the total number of persons in your group
  • How many of the individuals are children
  • How many of them will only eat a single slice of the pie?
  • How many people can be depended on to devour slice after slice after slice after slice after slice

When ordering pizza for a group, all of these considerations come into play. Fortunately, there is some very straightforward mathematics that can assist you in determining the answer to this question with a reasonable degree of precision.

Simple Math to Calculate How Much Pizza to Purchase

  • To determine how much pizza you’ll need for your gathering, as previously stated, the 3/8 rule is the most straightforward method of calculation to use. The argument for that regulation is as follows: Unless otherwise specified, most medium-sized pizzas are divided into eight pieces. As a result, each slice represents one-eighth of the entire pizza. Because the typical hungry person consumes three pieces of pizza, you may calculate the number of visitors by multiplying the number of guests by 3/8 of the total number of guests. The number that is generated will be the amount of pizzas that you will need to order. If the answer does not come out to be a whole number, round it up to the next whole number. And, if you ever find yourself in question, the best course of action is to collect up your troops. It’s always preferable to have too much rather than too little of anything. After all, it will taste just as nice the next day as it did the day before. Of course, the equation may be tweaked somewhat if that’s what’s needed. If your gathering is completely comprised of youngsters, it is unlikely that they will consume three pieces of pizza each. The average youngster will consume two pieces of pizza. And if your party is exclusively comprised of adolescent lads or other individuals with high appetites, you can anticipate them to consume an average of four slices per person. Make any necessary adjustments to the equation to make it work for your group. But, let’s be honest, when you’re hungry, it’s difficult to concentrate on arithmetic. Fortunately, our pizza specialists devised a straightforward pizza calculator that can be used when placing an order for pizza for a party. Take a look at this handy pizza cheat sheet for reference: In this case, 10 people = 4 pizzas, 15 people = 6 pizzas, 20 people = 8 pizzas, 30 people = 12, and 50 people = 19.

Use these tips to make making orders for a big group of people easier and to make arranging a pizza party a joy.In addition, if arithmetic has never been your strong suit and you simply want to check sure your calculations are right, you may enter your numbers into this widget to assist you. Please keep in mind that this equation is designed to be used with medium pizzas that have been sliced into eight pieces. You will normally receive six pieces of pizza if you purchase small pizzas.Larger pizzas will have ten slices, and extra large pizzas will contain twelve slices.

  1. Don’t forget to include in the type of slice you’re making, such as thin crust, deep-dish, filled, and so on.
  2. Some varieties of pizza may be more or less full depending on their density, and you may need to make some modifications to your calculations as a result.

What Are the Best Toppings to Order for a Group?

When it comes to pizza toppings, it seems like no one can ever seem to agree on what they want. There appears to be no way around the heated dispute over pineapple on pizza, and even basic toppings such as mushrooms or olives may become a source of conflict in the process. So, how can you ensure that you order a selection of pizzas that will delight everyone in your party?Finding out whether or not any of your guests have dietary limitations should be your first order of business. Is there anyone who is allergic to specific meals, for example?

  1. Is there anyone here who follows a specific diet, such as a vegetarian or gluten-free diet?
  2. If this is the case, place an order for a customized pizza or half-pizza just for this individual and make sure it is reserved for them.
  3. There is less chance of it being mistakenly consumed by another hungry visitor.
  4. Following that decision, here are some tips to consider when it comes to selecting pizza toppings.

1. Try Taking a General Poll

  • Inquire about the preferences of your visitors. The majority of guests will be kind and remark something along the lines of, ″Anything is good with me.″ However, one or two visitors will almost certainly express a disdain for one or two toppings, and this can be useful information. Of course, the most reliable approach to guarantee that you order the appropriate kind of pizza for your party is to ask your guests what they would prefer. However, if your group is large enough, it may be impossible to poll everyone individually. To help you with your decision-making process, here are some statistics about the most popular pizza toppings among the typical American: Amounts vary depending on the toppings: pepperoni (36 percent), sausage (14%), mushrooms (11%), other ( 10%), cheese (8%), chicken (7%), beef (4%), onions (3%) and olive (3%)
  • Peppers, tomatoes, and anchovies account for 2 percent of the total.

Clearly, pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms rank among the top ten pizza toppings in the United States, as seen in the chart below.Keep in mind, however, that being the most popular does not automatically imply being the most accommodating to groups.Although plain cheese does not score particularly high on the popularity scale, it is a predictable order when entertaining big gatherings since most people will accept cheese if they do not care for any of the other toppings provided.

2. Consider Ordering Before Your Guests Arrive

While polling your attendees is one technique, another strategy is to place your order before your guests arrive at the venue. You will prevent any possible disagreements that may develop over the toppings for your pizza this way. Consider sticking to cheese, pepperoni, and vegetable pizzas in a 2:1:1 ratio if you decide to go this route.

3. Avoid Any Controversial Toppings

Avoid foods like pineapple, olives, and anchovies, among other things.Avoid using these substances, especially if you’re serving a group of youngsters, unless they’ve indicated a willingness to consume them.Choosing monotonous yet inoffensive toppings is your best approach when attempting to select which toppings will be most popular among your party.Yes, a simple cheese or pepperoni pizza may not seem very thrilling, but it is acceptable to the majority of people.Even while it seems like a lot of fun, you could end up with three bacon and pineapple pizzas since no one wants to eat them, which means a lot of people will be hungry.

  1. Stay on the beaten path when it comes to attempting to please everyone at once.

4. Try to Compromise

In the event that you’re still having difficulties selecting which toppings would be best for your group of visitors, you might want to attempt splitting some of the pies evenly. When ordering pizza, most locations enable you to choose toppings for only one half of the pie, which means you may be able to give your guests a greater variety of topping options by dividing pies.By providing the widest possible selection of toppings, you improve the likelihood that every individual at your party will be able to discover at least one sort of pizza that they enjoy eating. When working with huge gatherings, it might be difficult to please everyone with your pizza topping choices, as it is with any large group.Keep in mind that it is quite easy for visitors to pick off the toppings they don’t care for when they are served.

  1. So don’t get too worked up over this particular detail.

How to Save Money on Pizza for a Large Group

In the event that you’re organizing a pizza party, you should think about approaches to keep your prices as low as possible. Most of us aren’t wealthy, and we’re always on the lookout for ways to save a few bucks here and there. Here are a few of our favorite methods to help you save money on some of your pizza bills, including:

1. Order the Largest Size of Pizza

This is straightforward mathematics. While the price of pizza continues to rise, the rate at which the size of a pizza grows outpaces that of the price of pizza. To put it another way, one extra-large pizza will almost likely be more expensive than one small pizza.Purchasing enough little pizzas to serve thirty people will, however, be significantly more expensive than ordering enough extra-large pizzas to feed the same number of people. In virtually all cases, selecting the most expensive choice is more cost-effective than selecting the largest option available.

2. Shop Around for the Best Pizza Deals

Perhaps you’re accustomed to making regular trips to the pizza joint around the street. It’s tasty, and it could be a little expensive, but because you’re generally buying it for yourself, it doesn’t really matter.Although it is possible to order a large number of pizzas from this establishment at once, it can become quite pricey.Instead, browse for pizza places in your area on the internet and compare their costs with others.Inquire with acquaintances for recommendations, making it clear that you are seeking for reasonably priced items.

  1. Consider your friends’ recommendations with a grain of salt if you want to find something reasonably priced – their definition of what is reasonable may be different from yours.

3. Look for Bargains

  • When it comes to exploring different dining alternatives, this isn’t limited to simply the restaurants themselves. Additionally, look for the greatest bargains: Specials and coupons may be found on the websites of pizza shops. Check to see if they provide group discounts or specials.
  • Coupons may be found on the internet.
  • Finding discounts or promo codes that may be applicable to your buy with a simple web search might result in a significant savings.
  • The more pizza you order, the more probable it is that you will save a significant sum of money. Don’t expect to find many bargains that apply to your pizza party if it is not going to be particularly huge.
  • Register for email promos from your favorite pizza chain or local shop if you want to be the first to hear about special specials
  • this will ensure that you never miss out on an opportunity to save money on pizza.

You never know what you could come upon simply by putting forth the effort to seek for anything. Who knows what you could come upon if you take a little time to look?

4. Ask Everyone to Chip in for the Cost of the Pizza

This is purely a question of personal choice. It’s likely that you’re throwing this party and would never think of asking for assistance with the cost of the food in advance. However, in many cases, it is quite normal, and even expected, to seek outside assistance.Inviting your guests to contribute a few bucks or whatever they can afford is a nice touch. In this way, everyone may contribute to the cost and prevents the burden of payment from falling only on any one person.

5. Opt for Pick-Up Instead of Delivery

Remember that every pizzeria and pizza shop will have their own stance on this, so do your homework before making a decision on where to go.In most situations, however, there is an additional charge for delivery.Instead of having your meal delivered, drive to the pizza business and pick it up yourself to save a few dollars on the bill.Remember to include money for a tip in your final total if you choose to have it delivered instead of picking it up.

6. Compare Pricing Options to Catering

There are certain pizza restaurants that provide catering services. While this isn’t the best option for everyone, it might be the ideal answer for some events in certain circumstances. Some restaurants and pizza businesses may offer special group pricing or packages to make catering more appealing and cheap for large groups of customers. You may also communicate your preferences to the pizza caterer ahead of time, which will reduce the amount of stress you have on the day of the party itself.

7. Consider Quality vs. Quantity

At the end of the day, you get what you paid for. As much as we all enjoy a good deal, it’s important to remember that you’re unlikely to discover a more affordable option to a large chain pizza supplier. It is up to you to decide if it is more essential to support your favorite local pizza restaurant or to save money by ordering from the most affordable supplier.

Other Tips for Ordering Pizza for a Group of People

  • Here are a few additional pizza ordering suggestions that don’t exactly fall into any of the categories we’ve examined thus far: If you want to purchase the pizza the day before the party and have it delivered at a specific time the following day, make sure you have an accurate guest list. There will always be a small number of people who indicate they ″may″ attend a gathering. See if you can get them to give you a straightforward response. Though there is any doubt, proceed as if they will show up. Make your pizza order based on the names on this guest list. It’s important to remember that having too much is preferable to having too little.
  • Pay close attention to the people you’re interacting with. Your guest list may comprise 50 people, but take note of who each of these people happens to be. How many of them are children who become distracted by the excitement of the celebration and refuse to finish their meals? How many of them are vegans who refuse to eat pizza? All of these considerations will have an impact on the number of pizzas you need to purchase
  • however, keep in mind that our pizza ordering recommendations are just that: recommendations. You are the most knowledgeable member of your group, therefore don’t be scared to think outside the box. For example, if you know that a big proportion of your guests will be vegans, you might want to consider ordering a pizza that is composed entirely of vegan ingredients
  • try to make the most of your possibilities. We realize it’s difficult to believe, but not everyone enjoys pizza. In order to ensure that everyone returns home with a full stomach, even if it’s a pizza party, try to serve some side dishes such as salad, sandwiches, or even dessert. Plan everything ahead of time. Before asking your visitors to contribute to the pizza, be sure you’ve gotten their permission first. You shouldn’t just hand out money at the party because it’s unlikely that many individuals will have cash on them. Furthermore, individuals may become agitated if they are put on the spot
  • if you are having your pizza delivered, it might be beneficial to calculate the cost ahead of time to avoid surprises. This provides you with the opportunity to calculate how much a decent tip should be.
  • It may be simpler for one person to simply pay for the full meal and then seek money from the other guests to cover their half of the bill, especially with the abundance of electronic payment alternatives available nowadays.
  • Paying electronically also provides you with the flexibility to adjust the amount that each individual contributes according on how much they eat, ensuring that the check is distributed equitably among the group. For example, guests may send a dollar to the host for each piece of pizza they consume. Of course, this could also be done in cash, but it’s unlikely that most individuals will have enough bills on them to make it worthwhile.
  • Not only should you plan ahead for the payment method, but you should also plan ahead for the delivery time of your pizza order. Try to place your order at the perfect time so that the pizza comes early enough that no one is left waiting around hungry, but close enough to the start time of your party that it is still hot when it is served. Choosing to cater may alleviate some of this tension by allowing you to arrange the specifics of the schedule with your caterer in advance.

A Guide to Sheet Pizza

While giant rectangular pizzas aren’t exclusively seen in the Binghamton area, they are a significant part of our regional culinary tradition….Brozzettis is one of the most prominent sheet pizza restaurants in the area.It is a place that you either love or hate, and most outsiders refuse to even recognize it as pizza because it is made with American cheese.A lot of establishments around here utilize American cheese in their pizzas, which is something that the sheet pizza producers took from the early pizzas in our region, which were hot pies, to build their pizzas.Although a number of popular hot pie spots in Johnson City, such as Red’s Kettle Inn and The Oasis, served only American cheese on their pies at first, new restaurants began combining it with provolone and mozzarella cheeses over a thicker doughy crust to create the pizzas that locals have come to know and love today.Despite the fact that I’m not familiar with the histories of all of these establishments, it appears that the most of them began serving pizza in the 1960s or 1970s, which is 20 to 30 years after pizza was first brought to our region (although that is definitely debatable).

There is no way I could have included every restaurant in the region that serves sheet style pizza, but I did chose the ones that are the most well-known and popular.I’m going to start with my least favorite spot and work my way up to the one I believe is the finest in the world. For those of you who are reading this who haven’t eaten a sheet pizza before, I implore you to toss away all of your preconceived notions about pizza and appreciate this form of pizza for what it is: doughy, saucy, sweet (for the most part), and rectangular in shape.7) Jim Roma’s Bakery, located on Nanticoke Avenue in Endicott. When it comes to half sheets, most sheet pizza establishments provide 12 slices, which is a wonderful deal of food for the money.

That’s what I chose to do here, as well as in a lot of the other areas I looked at as well.At Jim Roma’s, they prepare a whole sheet of pizza and then cut it in half and deliver it to your table in a smaller box with wax paper on the top (Vestal Bakery used to do this with their pizzas, but I’m glad they stopped doing it).The use of scissors to cut the pizza slices at Jim Roma’s is another one of the restaurant’s distinctive features. My order included additional sauce and cheese, which resulted in the messiest pizza on the menu by a long by!See the cheese that’s been charred on the pictures? As a matter of fact, when American cheese gets a bit charred like this, it tastes even better, which is why they include it in their cheese blend.

I’ve had additional cheese here in the past and it’s always been wonderful, but this time it was a little too sweet for my taste; I think they must have used more American cheese in the mix than normal. The additional sauce, on the other hand, was a great touch; it was semi-sweet and not excessively seasoned (most of the sauces in this pizza blog are similar in that aspect). The crust on this pizza is one of my least favorite aspects about it.Look at the bread to sauce and cheese radio in the second photo.

  1. This is a very bready pizza, which is why I got additional sauce and cheese.
  2. It needs more taste, as you can see from the bread to sauce and cheese radio in the second picture.
  3. The crust lacks any discernible taste, and although it is not quite mushy, it is also not crisp in the least, making it the chewiest crust of all the establishments I will be reviewing.

It’s also a touch more expensive than some of the other options; a half sheet of pizza with extra sauce and additional cheese cost $15, when at other establishments, I receive more toppings for that amount. The sausage and pepperoni they provide are both disappointing to me, therefore I recommend sticking to the simple version of the dish at this establishment.Expect a 30-minute wait if you order in advance, however if you walk there and are lucky, they’ll pull a fresh sheet of pizza out of the oven and you’ll be able to take half or a quarter of it home with you right away.

  • 6) DiRienzo’s Bakery, located on Henry Street in Binghamton, New York This location is rather straightforward to locate; simply look for the large delivery truck parked 15 feet above the ground in front of the establishment.
  • This is one of the more unusual pizzas on the menu; it is not sweet in the least.
  • I think it has the same flavor profile as Cortese Pizza; it’s a little salty, which I believe is due to the fact that they utilize Pecorino Romano cheese in addition to the conventional mozzarella.
  • The crust is particularly distinctive; it is the most browned of all the locations, yet it is not scorched in any way.
  • It’s semi-crisp, which makes me question whether they don’t use any oil in the production of it.
  • Despite the fact that they don’t use much sauce on it, it still has a very robust flavor, with the exception of the toppings, which I thought were a touch boring.
  • However, while it is a tasty flavor, it is not one that I find myself yearning on a regular basis.
  • They’re more well-known for their ″classic″ pizza, which is simply a loaf of bread with sauce on it and sometimes a sprinkling of parmesan on top, another attribute derived from certain old-school hot pie traditions.
  • I don’t like for the pizza here, but they have the greatest fresh baked bread around.
  • Their loaves of Italian bread and their Kaiser rolls are not to be missed!
  • Another half-hour wait and around $15 for a half-sheet with 12 slices was experienced.
  • 5) Rossi’s Pizza, located in Oak Hill Endicott, New York The funny thing about Rossi’s is that when I first tried it, I believed it was a shoddy knockoff of Nirchi’s.
  • A buddy told me that it was ″like Nirchi’s if Nirchi’s was fantastic″ when I questioned him about it one night.
  • I was surprised by his response.
  • That only goes to show that everyone has their own preferences and viewpoints on what is excellent.

He also sent me out to Nineveh once to sample a horrible stromboli that he thought was wonderful, so don’t always believe what your friends tell you about their food. This pizza comes from the original Rossi’s store in Endicott, which is about 15 minutes away.I’ve gotten pizza from here in the past, but I can’t remember how it tasted.

Despite the fact that I’ve never eaten pizza from the Owego location, I have had it from the JC location, which I didn’t think was particularly good.Everyone has remarked that the Endicott location is preferable, and I believe that I will have to agree with them for the most part. While the crust at the Endicott location was less dense than the one at JC, it did have a buttery flavor that was comparable to Nirchi’s.I would recommend it over JC.

However, when I went to the grocery store today, I saw that one of their frozen pizzas stated American and provolone cheeses, which led me to believe that they may have included those cheeses in the mix, although it was difficult to determine. While it tastes quite similar to Nirchis, it was a touch less sweet, which I believe is due to the fact that Nirchis had a little more American in the mix.I enjoyed the sauce on this dish as well; it was a touch brighter than the sauce on Nirchis.

Pepperoni had a wonderful flavor, and I would definitely order it again. The spiedies had a wonderful flavor as well, but the texture was not the finest.Although the JC location utilizes conventional full-sized spiedies, which I found to be satisfactory, the Endicott location has opted to divide them into small cubes, which I find to be strange. However, they were neither completely dry nor completely damp.Even though the pricing was comparable to the other options thus far, the phone representative estimated a 20-minute wait time, which was 10 minutes less than the other options. It was still not ready when I arrived, despite the fact that I was just a minute or two late.

When the pizza came out of the oven, there was a problem: the person who cooked it had unintentionally made it a full sheet of pizza instead of the half sheet that I had ordered. It wasn’t a big problem, but it did take them an extra minute or two to chop it up and Frankenstein it together into the proper proportions, and it also resulted in me getting less crust pieces. The central slices of sheet pizza are the one thing about them that I don’t like for.Generally speaking, I like it, but when it comes down to it, I’d prefer to have…

  1. 4) Nirchi’s on Taft Avenue in Endicott.
  2. Because of their several locations, especially with the Vestal site being so close to SUNY Binghamton and the downtown one being so convenient to student housing and the bus station, Nirchi’s is frequently the place where newcomers to sheet pizza are first exposed.
  3. However, for this particular blog, I opted to return to the original spot.
  4. Unfortunately, I was incorrect in my assumption about which one was the original.
  5. It turns out that the original location is on Pine Street in Endicott, rather than the one on Taft Avenue in Endicott as I had assumed.
  1. Nirchi’s pizza was refined at this location, which I discovered for the first time while dining there.
  2. Nirchi’s would be more frequent destination for me if all of their locations were as nice.
  3. This was the pizza that I ate the most while I was growing up, so I became sick of it after a time, but it is something that I want every now and again.

I could definitely eat their chicken pieces every day of the week; it’s only that I get tired of the usual red sauce after a while. The pepperoni was on the point of being crunchy, which I appreciated because I enjoy a nice crisp pepperoni.I used to enjoy their old pepperoni since it had a fantastic flavor and the edges would crisp up and produce a tiny bowl of oil, but they changed their pepperoni a few years ago and it no longer tastes the same.Even though this pepperoni had a good flavor, it was a touch too salty for my taste.

That’s really the only thing I have to say.Everything about this pie was wonderful, including the crust, which was browned on the bottom but not overly crisp and not too dense, was light and semi-soft, and had a subtle buttery flavor to it.Although the red sauce was not excessively sweet, it was a touch tangier than other restaurants on our list, and it was also not overly seasoning-heavy.The cheese was excellent, with a wonderful ratio of mozzarella to American
