- 1 loaf (1 pound) frozen pizza dough, thawed 1 pound frozen pizza dough
- 1 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese (divided)
- 1/2 cup spaghetti sauce
- 1 cup coarsely chopped pepperoni (about 64 pieces)
- 1/2 pound bulk Italian sausage, cooked and crumbled
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- optional: minced fresh basil
- 1 cup coarsely chopped pepperoni (approximately 64 slices)
- Optional: red pepper flakes, crushed (optional)
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Roll the dough out into a 16×10-in. rectangle on a lightly floured board and set aside. Fill up the borders of the pan with spaghetti sauce to within 1/2 inch of the edge
- To finish, top with 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese and toppings like as pepperoni, sausage, and Parmesan. Roll up the pastry in a jelly-roll fashion, starting with the long side
- pinch the seam closed. Cut the pie into 8 pieces. Place the cut side down in an oiled 9-inch cast-iron skillet or a greased 9-inch round baking pan

These quick and simple Skillet Pizza Rolls are the ideal snack for a game day gathering. Cooking up these homemade pizza rolls with your favorite toppings will make cooking up midweek dinners a whole lot more enjoyable! Scale
- Pizza dough (14 ounces), 1 cup pizza sauce (1/2 – 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper), 2 cups mozzarella (sliced black olives), 2 tablespoons fresh chopped basil (optional)
- 1 pound Johnsonville Italian Sausage (1/2 pound)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (optional)
- 1 pound Johnsonville Italian Sausage (half pound)
- 2 tablespoons fresh chopped basil (optional).
- Cook the sausage in a medium pan over medium-high heat, breaking up big clumps with a wooden spoon as you go, until it is browned. When the sausage is thoroughly cooked, take it from the fire and leave it aside for 10-15 minutes to cool.
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Pour olive oil into a 10-inch cast iron skillet, swirling the pan to coat it roughly, and put the skillet aside.
- Roll out your pizza dough into a rectangle shape, approximately 1016 inches in length and width, on a lightly floured surface or silicone mat. Spread the pizza sauce on the pizza crust, leaving approximately an inch at the end for squeezing. Top with as much sausage as you’d like, followed by the cheese, followed by the black olives and basil

- Start by rolling the pizza up into a log, starting with the long side of the dough. Using a knife, gently cut the roll into eight pieces of similar size, as shown.
- Placing the individual rolls onto the greased pan and baking for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown, is the recommended method.

- Start with preparing the dough. In a large mixing basin, whisk together the flour and salt until well combined. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the water, yeast, sugar, and olive oil. Pour the liquid into the flour mixture after whisking it to dissolve it. With a silicone spatula, mix the ingredients thoroughly until no dry flour is visible in the bowl. With the spatula, scrape along the edges of the bowl to ensure that everything is evenly distributed. Allow the dough to rest for 10-15 minutes to allow the gluten to form naturally. Knead the dough with your hands until it is smooth and elastic, about 7-10 minutes. Set aside the dough for 1 hour or until it has doubled in size.
- Form the dough into a pie shape and decorate with toppings. Roll the pizza dough out onto a lightly oiled surface and carefully flatten it into a 10×14-inch rectangle with a rolling pin until it is 10×14 inches. Pizza sauce should be spread on top. After that, equally distribute the mozzarella and top with pepperoni slices (or any other chosen toppings)

Serve these pizza rolls with a dipping sauce such as pizza sauce or marinara sauce on the side to dunk them in.In addition, I usually serve anything pizza-inspired with a large bowl of salad to help keep things in balance.My favorite salads to serve with pepperoni pizza rolls are the Greek salad, Mediterranean orzo pasta salad, cucumber and tomato salad, and Mediterranean chickpea wedge salad, all of which are recipes I found online.
Storing and Freezing Instructions
- Preparation tip: Roll the pizza dough with the toppings and cover securely in plastic cling wrap to store in the refrigerator (before slicing). Refrigerate for up to one day after making the dish. When you’re ready to bake, cut the roll into slices and bake it according to the recipe directions.
- The pizza rolls should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days once they have been allowed to cool completely.
- How to freeze: Once the pizza rolls have been allowed to cool, place them in an airtight container or freezer bag. For up to 3 months, you may keep it in the freezer.

These easy pepperoni pizza rolls are crispy on the exterior and soft and chewy on the inside, and they’re stuffed with pepperoni and cheese before being baked till bubbling. This is a surefire hit with the crowd!
For the pizza dough:
- Three hundred and fifty grams all-purpose flour
- six grams salt
- two hundred and fifty grams water
- three grams instant yeast, four grains sugar, and fifteen grams extra-virgin olive oil
For the filling:
- 1 cup pizza sauce, either handmade or purchased
- 1 + 12 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 oz. pepperoni slices (approximately 24 pieces)
- 14 cup cornmeal (optional)
- 1 + 12 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1-tablespoon extra-virgin olive o
