    Pointing with your chopsticks is regarded extremely disrespectful in Japan, just like pointing at someone with your finger is considered extremely rude in the United Kingdom.

    7) Do not take food from a sharing place using the chopsticks you’ve eaten with

    If possible, locate another set of chopsticks to use to help yourself to food from a communal plate. If you don’t have any, use the clean, fat end of your chopsticks instead.
