    2. The pizza gurus at ManMade agree with this recommendation and also propose making small holes in the bottom of the dough before baking it to allow for proper ventilation.
    3. This must be done prior to removing the plastic wrap in order to prevent all of the toppings from slipping off the sandwich.
    4. The pores in the crust allow steam to escape from the pizza, resulting in a crust that is less limp.
    1. You’ll also want to cook your frozen pizza directly on the oven rack, rather than using a pizza stone or baking sheet, if you want a crispy crust.

    2. Get creative with toppings

    • 12 lemons, sliced very thinly and then halved, seeds removed
    • 1 cup shredded Brussels sprouts
    • 1 to 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • Chili flakes (optional)
    • Sea salt and freshly ground pepper
    • 1 egg
    • 4 to 5 slices of prosciutto (optional)
    • And 1 cup shredded Brussels sprouts.

    Prepare the oven by preheating it to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.Take the pizza out of the package and set it aside.Toss Brussels sprouts with olive oil, chili flakes, sea salt, and freshly ground pepper in a small mixing basin until well coated.

    1. Spread the sauce on top of the pizza in a uniform layer.
    2. Place lemon slices on top of the dish.
    3. Preheat the oven to 350°F and bake for 8 minutes.
    4. When you take the pizza out of the oven, you should move the Brussels sprouts and lemons to the edges of the pie to create room for the egg.

    2. Another tip that some people swear by is to place the pizza in the oven for about 30 seconds before cutting it.

A few hours of hard effort will result in a freezer full of pizza that is ready to bake right away. Making this homemade convenience food may take some work, but the results are nearly always superior than what you would purchase at the supermarket. This recipe is adapted from Love and Olive Oil. The following ingredients are needed: 214 cups bread flour
    • 34 teaspoon salt
    • 12 teaspoon instant yeast
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 1 teaspoon whole fennel seed
    • 12 teaspoon dried thyme
    • 7 ounces cold water
    • Cornmeal for dusting.

    Instructions: In the bowl of an electric mixer, combine the flour, salt, and instant yeast until well combined.In a small mixing bowl, combine the oil and cold water and whisk on low speed until the flour is completely absorbed.Make a quick switch to the dough hook and mix on medium speed for 5 to 7 minutes, or until a smooth, sticky dough is formed, until the dough is formed.

    1. The dough should be able to slide down the edges of the basin but should remain stuck to the bottom of the bowl.
    2. In addition to being tacky, the completed dough will be springy, elastic, and sticky.
    3. Using a floured work surface, transfer the dough to the baking sheet.
    4. Prepare a baking dish or plate by lightly oiling it.
    1. To form each ball, divide the dough into three equal pieces and carefully roll each piece into a ball.
    2. Arrange the dough balls on the baking dish that has been prepared.
    3. Wrap the dish in plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator overnight.

    In addition to being able to freeze the dough balls at this point, each ball should be separately wrapped in plastic wrap and placed into a zipped freezer bag.The day before you intend to bake them, place them in the refrigerator.Remove the dough from the refrigerator and let it to rise for 2 hours at room temperature.

    Place a baking stone, either on a rack in the lowest third of the oven or directly on the oven floor at least 45 minutes before creating the pizza.Bake for at least 30 minutes after preheating the oven to 500 degrees Fahrenheit and allowing the baking stone to heat.Spread the dough out on a lightly floured work area and gently push and stretch it into disks approximately 9 inches in diameter.Semolina flour or cornmeal should be generously sprinkled on a peel or the back of a sheet pan.Make sure there is enough semolina flour or cornmeal on the peel or pan so that the dough does not adhere to it while stretching it.Slide the crust onto the heated stone in a gentle motion (or bake directly on a sheet pan).

    • Bake for about 3 minutes, or until the crust is just beginning to puff.
    • Remove the pan from the oven and allow it to cool fully.
    • Repeat the process with the remaining dough balls.

    Once the crusts have been allowed to cool, put them on a baking sheet that has been gently coated with cornmeal to prevent sticking.To finish, add desired toppings.Refrigerate undisturbed until totally frozen (about 4 to 6 hours), then wrap tightly in a double layer of plastic wrap and place into an airtight zip-top freezer bag, pressing out as much air as possible to ensure that the pizzas are thoroughly frozen.Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit before beginning to bake.Transfer the frozen pizza to a pizza pan or baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes.Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling and beginning to color on the edges.

    Americans are as health-conscious as they have always been.Every year, an increasing number of individuals are turning away from manufactured meals in favor of fresh, locally sourced foods.The ease of picking up a frozen pizza on your way home from work (or storing one in the freezer) and tossing it in the oven for a quick supper, however, cannot be overlooked.

    1. So what is a busy, health-conscious person to do when they need supper done in a hurry but still want to eat well and stay healthy?
    2. After all, frozen pizza isn’t exactly the healthiest option, is it?
    3. Is it because of all of the food additives, for example?
    4. While this may be true for the ordinary frozen pizza, there are some important facts to know about the food additives included in the common frozen pizza that should be communicated with consumers.

    The Truth About Food Additives

    • Many of you have probably read the nutrition labels on your typical frozen pizza and been perplexed as to what some of the ingredients are. We understand your confusion. Taking even the shortest of glances, you may see several substances that you are familiar with, such as yeast, tomato paste, soybean oil, cultured pasteurized milk, and so on. Others will require a bit more explanation on their part. Flour that has been enriched. Among the ingredients in most frozen pizza doughs are: wheat flour, niacin (Vitamin B3), reduced iron (a synthetic antioxidant used in both cosmetics and food), thiamine mononitrate (Vitamin B1), riboflavin (Vitamin B2), folic acid (Vitamin B12), Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C)
    • And sodium bicarbonate (sodium bicarbonate).
    • Pepperoni. The meat in your typical frozen pepperoni pizza is a combination of pig, chicken, and beef. That meat is then cured and preserved using a combination of spices and the following ingredients: dextrose (a sweetener derived from starches)
    • Lactic acid (a curing agent that controls acidity)
    • Sodium nitrite (a salt used to cure meats and preserve color)
    • Sodium ascorbate (a combination of sodium and citric acid)
    • BHA/BHT (antioxidant preservatives)
    • Citric acid (to protect flavor)
    • And sodium ascorbate (a combination of sodium and

    Certain preservatives, such as sodium nitrite, BHAs, and BHTs, are particularly concerning to certain customers, who believe there is a relationship between these preservatives and cancer.The FDA, on the other hand, claims that you would have to ingest extremely large quantities of them in order to be in any serious risk.Minimal amounts of cured meats are utilized in the production of frozen pizza.

    1. Sugar.
    2. The average pizza has 5 g of sugar per serving, on average.
    3. With DiGiorno pizza, where the suggested serving size is 1/6 pizza, it equates to 30g of sugar per complete pizza, which is a lot of sugar.
    4. That’s the equal of one 12-ounce can of Coca-Cola.
    1. In your pizza, to be precise.
    2. Why?
    3. This is because it conceals the inferior quality of the ordinary frozen pizza and also ensures that it has a lengthy shelf life.

    Why Use Food Additives At All?

    The majority of these chemicals and vitamins are found in naturally occurring forms in particular foods and are vital to our general health.These additives, however, are necessary to keep up with the rate at which food production in this nation is increasing.They are used to improve color, add nutrients, and prevent food from rotting rapidly.

    1. If you look at a frozen pizza, for example, ascorbic acid is a popular dough conditioner that is used to make the dough stretchier so that it does not rip (but we don’t use it!).
    2. However, doctors advise against taking too much of these vitamins since they can be harmful to your health.
    3. Niacin, thiamine mononitrate, and folic acid are all essential vitamins for your body.
