Incredible Keto Canned Chicken Pizza Crust

This keto canned chicken pizza dough is just delectable! I understand that using canned chicken to make pizza dough sounds unusual, but believe me when I say it’s delicious! It’s worth experimenting with this pizza dough even if you don’t follow a low-carb eating plan.

Great Things About This Canned Chicken Pizza Crust

  • It has a wonderful flavor
  • You don’t need to use a fork since you can just pick it up and eat it.
  • Because it requires minimal work and yields a high return (the bake time is somewhat longer than traditional pizza crust, but there is no stress or yeast required), it is a good investment.
  • The crust has a modest amount of carbohydrates.
  • It’s what I refer to as a ″Pantry Meal.″ I generally always have everything I need to make it on hand, so I don’t have to go to the shop to get it. Instead, I’ll make substitutions for the pizza components based on what I have on hand.

It might be scary for some individuals to deal with active dry yeast; however, this keto pizza crust takes away all of the anxiety. This recipe, in my opinion, is virtually fail-proof.

Canned Chicken Pizza Crust Ingredients

To make this keto pizza crust you will need:

  • Chicken breasts from a can
  • Parmesan cheese
  • garlic powder
  • salt and pepper

To make a pizza you will also need:

  • Pizza sauce
  • toppings of your choosing (cooked meats (sausage, pepperoni, salami, linguica, etc.)– vegetables (onions, mushrooms, olives, etc.)
  • and a dough crust.
  • (Or whatever cheese you happen to have on hand) Mozzarella cheese

Equipment Need to Make This Pizza Crust Recipe

  • Oven
  • Cookie sheet or pizza stone
  • Parchment paper

Steps to Make this Canned Chicken Pizza Crust

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  • Using a piece of parchment paper, line the bottom of a baking sheet and set aside.
  • Don’t forget to complete this step!
  • The use of parchment paper ensures that the canned chicken pizza crust will not adhere to the cookie sheet throughout the baking process.
  1. After that, combine all of the ingredients for the keto pizza dough in a large mixing basin.
  2. To completely combine the ingredients, either use a spatial or your freshly cleansed hands.
  3. Once all of the ingredients have been combined, pour the batter onto the cookie sheet that has been coated with parchment paper.
  4. With your hands, spread the mixture out evenly.
  5. When making chicken pizza crust, you want it to be thin, but not have any holes in it.

Because it’s a delicate line, take care not to cross it.

Bake the Canned Chicken Pizza Crust

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and bake the chicken crust for approximately 30 minutes.
  • Remove the pan from the heat and put a layer of pizza sauce on the bottom.
  • During the time it takes for the pizza dough to bake, prepare all of the pizza toppings.
  • Everything should be cooked and chopped into bite-size pieces before serving.
  1. All veggies should be chopped into bite-sized pieces as well.
  2. As you can see in the photograph below, the crust has reduced slightly as a result of this.
  3. After pouring the sauce over the pizza dough, I prefer to put it back in the oven for 5-8 minutes to finish baking.
  4. I want the sauce to be a bit more built up, and baking it for an additional five minutes achieves this goal for me.
  5. Believe me when I say that this step, even if you are in a hurry, will make all the difference.

Assembling the Keto Canned Chicken Pizza

  • Assemble the pizza in the manner of your choice. Here’s how I prefer to layer it, although there is no right or wrong way to do it: The following ingredients: cheese, meats, vegetables, and a thin covering of cheese.

Your pizza should appear similar to the image below.. Back in the oven for another 15 minutes or so, bake the keto pizza until it is golden brown. It’s important to me that the cheese gets a bit browned. Allow the pizza to cool for at least 10 minutes to allow the cheese to settle and secure all of the toppings in place.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 2 teaspoons salt and pepper
  • 2 cans Canned Chicken, drained
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Combine all of the ingredients for the canned chicken pizza dough in a large mixing bowl. Into a bowl. Use a spatula or a clean hand to combine the ingredients.
  3. Spread a thin layer of the crust mixture onto a baking sheet that has been lined with parchment paper.
  4. Preheat the oven to 300°F and bake for 30 minutes.
  5. Remove the baking sheet from the oven.
  6. Prepare the toppings while the crust is baking.
  7. All meats should be completely cooked before serving.
  8. Spread a layer of your favorite pizza crust on top of the dough.
  9. Preheat the oven to 375°F and bake for 5-8 minutes.
  10. Remove the baking sheet from the oven.
  11. Place a layer of cheese on top of the toppings, followed by another thin coating of cheese.
  12. Place the pan in the oven for 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
  13. Remove from the oven and allow it cool for 10 minutes before slicing.

How Many Calories Are in a Slice of Papa John’s Pizza?

  • Papa John’s pizza provides a large selection of pizzas to choose from.
  • Photograph courtesy of Victoria Bee Photography/Moment/Getty Images.
  • When it comes to comprehending the nutritional impact of a Papa John’s original crust pizza, knowing how many calories are in a pizza is only the beginning of the story.
  • Despite the fact that pizza frequently has a high number of calories from fat as well as high levels of salt, it does have certain nutritional advantages to consider.

Tip

Papa John’s has a large selection of pizzas to choose from. The calorie count can range from around 110 (a small slice of White Veggie Pizza) to approximately 440 (a big slice of White Veggie Pizza) (large slice of Taco Pizza).

Papa John’s Calorie Facts

  • Pizza is frequently criticized for being high in fat and calories.
  • To a certain extent, the criticism may be justified.
  • As an example, a large Papa John’s Taco Pizza includes 440 calories, with 150 calories coming from fat, 8 grams of saturated fat, 0.5 gram of trans fat, 40 milligrams of cholesterol, 1060 milligrams of sodium, and 45 grams of net carbs (according to the Papa John’s website).
  • Taco Pizza has 350 calories per slice and 160 calories from fat, with 9 grams of saturated fat and 0.5 grams of trans fat in a small piece.
  1. As well as these nutrients, it includes 50 milligrams of cholesterol, 770 milligrams of sodium, and 27 grams of net carbs.
  2. In contrast, the Papa John’s website offers the Papa John’s Pizza menu options.
  3. White Veggie Pizza has somewhat better numbers than the other options.
  4. 320 calories per slice of extra large White Veggie Pizza, 120 calories from fat, 5 grams of saturated fat, zero grams of trans fat, 20 milligrams of cholesterol, 690 milligrams of sodium, and 37 grams of net carbs in one serving.
  5. In one slice of small White Veggie Pizza, you will get 210 calories and 80 calories from fat.

There are 3.5 grams of saturated fat and zero grams of trans fat, 15 milligrams of cholesterol, 470 milligrams of sodium, and 24 grams of net carbs in one slice.Caloric intake, salt intake, saturated fat intake, and cholesterol intake are all reduced by approximately half when compared to the Taco Pizza.According to the USDA, even if you eat one slice of Papa John’s pizza, you will still consume fewer calories than a McDonald’s Big Mac, which has 563 calories, 78 grams of cholesterol, and 1,010 milligrams of salt.In the same way that adding fries and a beverage to your Big Mac immediately increases the calories in your meal, eating more than one slice of Papa John’s Pizza quickly increases the calories in your meal.

As a result, the difficulty isn’t with eating one slice, but with eating two or three slices. It is not only the calorie amount that has an effect. The salt content in Papa John’s Pizza slices is relatively significant, especially for the smaller pieces of pizza.Dietary salt intake should not exceed 2,300 milligrams per day, based on a 2,000-calorie diet, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. If you eat two large slices of the Taco Pizza, you will come close to meeting the recommended daily salt limit, while eating two large slices of the White Veggie Pizza will bring you halfway there.

Papa John’s Pizza Benefits

  • There are certain nutritional advantages to eating Papa John’s Pizza, according to the company.
  • To provide an example, their pizzas include a reasonable quantity of protein, which is a key nutrient that is utilized throughout the body to aid in the rebuilding of muscle and other tissue.
