    Pepperoni

    3. When you are a youngster, you are frequently presented with only two pizza options: margarita or pepperoni, with pepperoni always taking the top spot.
    1. Many adults still appreciate this topping on their pizza, which may be because to the strong association it has with childhood memories of their own.

    Sausage

    1. We’ll keep the meat theme going with some sausage this time.
    2. Sausages come in a wide variety of flavors, and the flavor of your pizza will vary greatly depending on the variety you pick.
    3. Sausages with a mild or sweet flavor are preferred by some, while sausages with a true meaty flavor are preferred by others, and spicy sausage is preferred by others.
    1. Whichever topping you choose, you can be sure that it will taste crazy when combined with a pizza crust.
    2. Let’s face it, everything has an impact.

    Mushrooms

    1. When it comes to mushrooms, even if you don’t like them in other dishes, they are absolutely worth trying as a topping on pizza.
    2. Mushrooms have an earthy flavor that you may anticipate to have a negative impact on the flavor of your pizza.
    3. However, this is not the case.
    1. However, this is not the case.
    2. Instead, the flavor of the mushroom is really delicious when mixed with the other elements of your pizza, making it a must-try for anybody who enjoys pizza.
    3. It’s no wonder that this one is so well-liked by so many people.

    Bacon

    1. With a bit of a trend forming, we move on to the next course: bacon.
    2. Even while bacon is typically linked with breakfast meals, there isn’t a dish that it can’t improve with the addition of bacon.
    3. The same rule applies when it comes to pizza.
    1. If you use fresh bacon, bacon crumbles, or pancetta, this addition to your pizza is sure to be a success with your family and friends.
    2. In addition, if you aren’t convinced yet, just wait till you smell the bacon pizza cooking on the stovetop.

    Onions

    1. Onions are a flexible topping for a wide variety of foods, and pizza is no exception to this rule.
    2. When it comes to pizza toppings, there are several different varieties of onions to choose from.
    3. Yellow onions that have been sautéed in butter or olive oil are my favorite.

    2. Onions are always an excellent choice for topping your pizza, whether they are cooked, raw, chopped, or sliced.

Extra Cheese, Cheese, And More Cheese

    1. For some, this may not qualify as a topping, but for us, there’s nothing better than a little more cheese on a slice of homemade pizza.
    2. Especially if the foundation cheese of your pizza is mozzarella, this is a good idea.
    3. While all cheese is delicious, when you add more cheeses to your pizza, the flavor becomes much richer and more pleasurable, which may make your pizza a lot more delightful.
    1. When you pick up a piece of pizza, there is nothing better than the satisfying tug of cheese, and this topping is the most effective method to do it.

    Peppers

    1. Peppers are one of the vegetables on this list that stands out from the rest because of their high nutritional value.
    2. Peppers are one of the most adaptable vegetables, and they taste fantastic when baked on a pizza foundation, regardless of their hue.
    3. Peppers are often given with a crunchiness to their taste, but when they are baked on a pizza, they become substantially softer in texture.
    1. This softer texture contrasts significantly better with the crisp of your pizza base, and the flavor is spot on as well.

    Chicken

    1. Chicken isn’t a typical topping for pizza, but it is one that a large number of people prefer anyway.
    2. With meat, chicken is always a safe pick because it is practically impossible for chicken to have a terrible flavor because it is so tender.
    3. Cooking with chicken is also quite adaptable, allowing for the creation of an endless number of unique pizza combinations ranging from barbecue chicken to buffalo chicken and even chicken bacon ranch, among many other variations.
    1. And so chicken is one of my favorite things for pizza when it comes to pizza toppings.

    Black Olives

    1. The addition of black olives continues the idea of light and refreshing garnishes.
    2. Another potentially divisive addition, black olives may add a salty edge to your pizza without being too overpowering.
    3. When your pizza comes out of the oven, you may find yourself unable to resist the allure of the black olives, and you may find yourself pulling them off the pizza to consume them.
    1. Do not be concerned, the taste of the olive will have permeated throughout the entire pizza, completely changing the flavor profile of the dish.

    Spinach

    1. If you are a fan of veggies, you will almost certainly like a spinach topping on your pizza.
    2. Spinach is a great addition to pizza if you want something light and refreshing.
    3. Greens on pizza aren’t for everyone, after all, this is typically considered an unhealthy dinner.
    1. As a result, spinach is a popular pizza topping since the flavor of the spinach compliments the natural tastes of the pizza well and because it makes the meal taste significantly healthier.

    Tomato and Basil

    1. If you want to make a classic-style margarita pizza, tomato and basil are the ideal toppings to use.
    2. This topping is most effective when it is combined with mozzarella cheese and tomato rounds on top of a standard marinara sauce base.
    3. Cook in the oven for 30 minutes, then garnish with fresh basil.
    1. It’s the perfect pizza to savor on a hot summer day if you’re searching for something light and airy.

You can read the rest of my disclosure here. I enjoy meals that are simple to prepare and that satisfy the tastes of my entire family
    • this pizza sub recipe meets both criteria. Everything pizza-related is a favorite of both my kid and spouse. I mean, I feel the same way. What’s not to like about this? It’s all about the sauce. It’s all about the cheese. The garnishes and toppings. It’s all about the crust. Mmmm. We, on the other hand, like to mix things up, and this pizza sub recipe is perfect for doing so. Furthermore, it is simple, which makes it much better! When I was a teenager, my mother learned about this dish from another mother. She created the pizza subs from scratch, using pizza sauce, sliced ham, and cheese as toppings. They were very excellent! Because my husband and kid, both of whom are picky eaters, don’t like ham, I try to stick to more traditional pizza toppings while making our pizza sub sandwiches. They are, on the other hand, entirely adaptable to suit the tastes of your family and even the preferences of specific members of your family. Even when I prepare this pizza sub recipe for my family, I make each one a little bit differently for each member of the family! The first and most important ingredient in a fantastic sub is toasted, crusty bread. As a result, I toast the bread before adding the toppings. I used to toast bread by spraying it with margarine spray or smearing it with melted margarine or butter before putting it in the oven. Now I just sprinkle the top of the bread with nonstick cooking spray to prevent it from sticking. When I have preheated my oven to 450 degrees, I open up the sub buns and place them on a baking sheet coated with Reynolds Non-stick Aluminum Foil, which makes cleanup a breeze. After that, I sprayed them liberally with nonstick cooking spray to keep them from sticking. After that, the buns are placed in the preheated oven for approximately 5 minutes. Continue to keep an eye on them to make sure they don’t become overworked. You want them to be gently browned around the edges, but not burnt or burned. Once they’re done, take them out of the oven and start layering on the toppings, starting with the pizza sauce. After that, you may add your toppings. I like to sprinkle a little Parmesan cheese on top of the sauce before adding Italian blend or mozzarella cheese on top of that. My spouse doesn’t care for a lot of cheese on his, so I make him a mild cheese dish. My children are only somewhat fond of cheese, but I am a huge fan, so I cheese up the bread appropriately. After that, you may add the rest of the toppings. Pepperoni is the preferred topping for my guys. This time around, I also included some sliced onion in my husband’s pizza sandwiches, which he really enjoyed. Due to the fact that my kid is not a fan of pepperoni, I fried up a little bit of chopped hamburger and mixed it in with some diced onion for her pizza. I enjoy all of the ingredients listed above, so I made my own pepperoni pizza with a tiny quantity of hamburger and onion. However, you are free to use any pizza toppings you and your family choose, such as green peppers, mushrooms, sausage, bacon, ham, pineapple, chicken, and so on and so forth. You may also experiment with other sauces, such as barbeque sauce or ranch dressing. Following the addition of the toppings, the pizza subs are returned to the hot oven for around 8 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted. For the last minute or two, I put on the broiler on low to get them nice and toasty on the top, but the pizza sub recipe is equally delicious without the use of a broiler at all. Remove them from the oven and place them on a serving tray. My spouse prefers to eat his pizza sub in an open-faced sandwich form, but I like to assemble my pizza sub like a sandwich. Either way, it’s effective! Substitutes for pizza Recipes may be saved and printed. Ingredients a sub bun, nonstick frying spray, pizza sauce (jarred or homemade
    • I use jarred)
    • a pizza cutter
    • Italian blend or shredded mozzarella cheese are also acceptable options.
    • Pepperoni, shaved ham, hamburger, onions, green peppers, mushrooms, or whatever else you choose to put on your pizza is OK.

    Instructions

    1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
    2. Using a sharp knife, cut the sub buns in half and arrange them on a baking sheet. It’s simpler to clean up if you line the skillet with Reynolds nonstick aluminum foil, which I do because I constantly drip cheese into the pan.)
    3. Nonstick cooking spray should be sprayed generously on the tops of the sub buns.
    4. For around five minutes, place the buns in the preheated oven. Ideally, the bread should be gently brown around the edges and feel lightly toasted to the touch when it is ready.
    5. Cover with pizza sauce, cheese, and any other toppings you wish
    6. Reheat the subs in the hot oven for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is crisp. If I want them nice and toasty on top, I’ll run the broiler on low for the last minute or two, but the recipe is perfect without it.
    7. Sandwiches can be served open-faced or closed-faced.
