That is the only way to ensure the optimum flavor and texture. Once you’ve created a gorgeous crust, top it with your preferred toppings and place it back in the oven for a few minutes to melt the cheese on top. Almost immediately after my husband and I made the decision to follow a low-carb diet, I set out to find suitable alternatives for some of our favorite foods. Unsurprisingly, pizza ranked high on my priority list! I realize that using cauliflower to make a pizza crust sounds a little strange, but bear with me. I was a big skeptic up until the point where I made it. However, it has become one of my favorite keto pizza crusts, and I make it on a regular basis. In fact, we eat it virtually every Saturday for lunch, which is rare for us. A long-standing – and delectably delicious – tradition.     That being said, it is true that you can now purchase a pre-made crust, which was not an option (as far as I am aware) when I first started preparing this dish, back in 2013.Purchasing a pre-made crust, on the other hand, is an alternative.If you’re following a low-carb or ketogenic diet, you should be aware that certain commercial brands may contain starch in their crust, making them incompatible with your diet.Is it possible to freeze cauliflower pizza crust?Yes, it is possible.Allow it to cool completely on the pan before adding any toppings.

    1. Using cling wrap, carefully lay the item on top of another piece of cling wrap and gently seal it.
    2. Place it on a freezer shelf so that it is completely flat.
    3. It will stay in the freezer for up to 3 months once it has been frozen, and it may be re-heated in the oven from the frozen form.

    Simply bake it at 375F for 10 minutes, then add your toppings and return to the oven to melt the cheese.

    • 12 teaspoon garlic powder

    • 1 small head cauliflower trimmed and sliced into florets (14 oz, 400 grams without refuse)

    • 12 cup pizza sauce (I prefer Rao’s) with no extra sugar

    • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. A baking sheet should be lined with parchment paper (this is critical – I tried baking without parchment and the cauliflower crust ended up mushy instead of crispy). Lightly brush the parchment paper with olive oil. A 13-inch pizza pan can also be used, with a circle of parchment paper cut out to fit around the bottom of the pan.
    • To rice the cauliflower florets, place them in a food processor and pulse until they have the texture of rice.
    • Using a medium-sized mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and oregano until well combined. Add the riced cauliflower and combine with a rubber spatula until everything is well-combined.
    • Transfer the mixture to the middle of the baking sheet that has been prepped and flatten it into a thin 13-inch circle with a spatula to firm it up. It’s best to try to smooth it out so that it’s all the same thickness, and avoid making the edges too thin or they’ll burn (although even if they do become too dark, they’ll still taste wonderful)
    • About 30 minutes before the pie is finished, bake the crust until golden brown and extremely solid (such that the edges can be carefully picked up from the baking sheet without the circle coming apart).
    • Take the baking sheet out of the oven and set it aside. Set the broiler* to the highest setting in the oven. The tomato sauce should be spread on top of the crust using a spatula. On top of it, sprinkle the cheese. In order to avoid a soggy crust, you may definitely add extra toppings at this stage, but do not pile them on too thickly.
    • Return the pizza to the oven and broil for 1-2 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and browned in areas on the top. Serve immediately after removing it from the oven and cutting it into eight triangles with a pizza cutter.

    Given that I am unsure of the toppings you will be using, the nutrition information does not include any toppings other than pizza sauce and mozzarella.* Make sure your pan is broiler-safe and that your parchment paper is unbleached and designated as broiler-safe before you start broiling!Alternatively, you may bake the pizza towards the end of the process to melt the cheese rather than broiling it.I have three suggestions for you to follow to ensure that your cauliflower pizza dough is lovely and firm and does not go soggy:
