                                                      For a charcoal grill, maintain the bottom intake vent fully open throughout the cooking process, and start with the exhaust vent about halfway open to allow for even heat distribution.You want to keep the temperature of your grill between 190 and 220 degrees Celsius.I realize it appears too broad, but you’re going to be opening the grill up quite a bit, so variations are unavoidable.If you are grilling over charcoal, you should use an external thermometer rather of relying on the little built-in thermometer on top of your grill to give you an accurate reading.

                                                      Because the coals will progressively cool while you cook the pizza, you’ll want to open the top vent a bit further with each pizza you cook.I had both vents fully open by the time I finished my fourth pizza.

                                                      • To cook a frozen pizza until it is crispy and bubbling, you will need the following ingredients: Pizzas from frozen

                                                      Once more, move the pizza to one side for a minute if you want the bottom to get crispier.(You should be careful here since it has the potential to burn, but I prefer a little char on my pizza!) After removing the pizza from the grill, cover the lid and open up that top vent a bit further if you’re using charcoal.Allow the temperature to rise again before placing your second pizza on the grill and repeating the process.Continue until you have used up all of your pizzas (or until your charcoal is spent).

                                                      • And when I say everything, I mean absolutely everything.
                                                      • 90 percent of the meals we eat are prepared on our gas BBQ grill.

                                                      Grilling bacon wrapped shrimp, crab legs, lobster, peppers, green beans, artichokes, potatoes, and sandwiches are some of our favorite things to do in addition to the basic meats (see How to Grill the Perfect Cowboy Steak).Speaking of pizza, we usually have a supply of our favorite frozen pizza on hand for when we have a few spare minutes on a quiet evening.The problem is that we’ve always baked in the oven.We recently made the decision to use the oven, shmoven.

                                                      Set the grill to high heat and see how this baby cooks up in the end!We had family visiting, which provided the perfect opportunity to experiment with grilling frozen pizza.We normally buy pepperoni or plain cheese and then top the pizza with our favorite fresh toppings, which we make from scratch.However, if you put on too many on top, it will become mushy in the centre, which will ruin the dish in the oven.Although we enjoy toppings, we prefer this pizza oven because it is extremely quick and consistently produces a great crust (in addition to the fact that it can be used to cook a variety of other foods).

Unfortunately, regardless of whether you are using handmade or commercial dough, the crust will harden quite rapidly. Having to cope with anything falling through and spoiling your day is no longer a concern.

                                                      Does It Matter If The Pizza Is Frozen Or Fresh?

                                                      • Grilled pizzas can be made using frozen or freshly cooked ingredients.
                                                      • There are a couple of changes in the cooking procedures that are worth mentioning here.
                                                      • As an alternative, if you are dealing with newly produced dough, you will want to coat the bottom of your dough with olive oil and pre-cook it on the grate for 2-3 minutes before removing it from the fire and finishing the process of adding the sauce, cheese, and toppings to your pizza.

                                                      The side with grill marks should be the top of the sandwich — the side on which you will apply your toppings.Make sure to coat the bottom side of the dough with oil as well before putting your pizza back on the grate to finish cooking it.Frozen pizza, on the other hand, requires significantly less preparation time.However, because you are working with components that are still relatively cold, you will need to allow longer time for the cheese to completely melt and the toppings to be thoroughly cooked.

                                                      In 10 to 15 minutes, a fresh pizza will be ready to eat.For the best results, frozen pizza should be baked for an extra 5 – 10 minutes, depending on the variety and kind of dough used.

                                                      Does It Matter If My Grill Is Gas, Wood, Or Coal Burning?

                                                      • All sorts of grills are capable of producing a delectable pizza.
                                                      • The temperature of a gas grill can be controlled considerably more easily than the temperature of a coal or wood-burning barbecue.
                                                      • Even without the use of a grill thermometer, an experienced griller should be able to achieve the approximate temperatures required to cook a pizza to perfection on the grill.

                                                      Pizza cooked over a wood fire is a delicacy in and of itself.Infuse your crust with the smoky, enticing taste of the wood you’re working with, and your product will take on a whole new level of dynamic flavor.I especially enjoy working with hickory or cherry wood to give my pizza that little additional spark of flair.It is undeniably true that coal grills are equally capable of cooking pizza on an open grate as are other types of grills.

                                                      However, you might want to think about the health implications of ingesting food that has been cooked over charcoal, which has been shown to have greater levels of some harmful compounds.If you’re dealing with a charcoal grill, it can be worth your while to use a pan or invest in a pizza oven that can be used on the grill.

                                                      6. Toss in your sauce and garnishes.
                                                      7. Place the burgers on the grill grates and close the lid.
                                                      8. Prior to opening the cover, cook for 8-10 minutes (10-15 minutes if frozen)
                                                      9. Cook the pizza for another 5-8 minutes once it has been rotated before removing it from the stove.
                                                      10. To cut and serve the pie, allow it to cool for 4-5 minutes before cutting and serving.

                                                      2. Using A Cast Iron Skillet

                                                      • Cast iron cookware is a favorite of mine.
                                                      • I really like how evenly they dissipate the heat.
                                                      • These skewers are also excellent for grilling pizza, especially deep-dish Chicago-style pizza, which is a specialty of the Chicago area.

                                                      Because it may be difficult to locate a cast iron skillet large enough to handle your typical frozen pizza, you may get the same effects by using a conventional baking sheet or pan instead.

                                                      Instructions 

                                                      1. Preheat your grill to approximately 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius)
                                                      2. Olive oil should be used to lightly grease your cast iron skillet or pan.
                                                      3. You should prepare your pie in advance if you are dealing with a freshly baked pizza and a cast iron skillet.                                                       • In addition to being very evenly heated, pizza stones are also slightly porous, allowing the stone itself to pull out a little amount of moisture from the dough during the baking process.
                                                      • You also warm a pizza stone so that when you place your pizza on it using a pizza peel – which, if you don’t already have one, you should strongly consider purchasing one – it receives a short burst of early heat that helps puff up the crust and make it more crispy.

                                                      This stoneware on Amazon is suitable for use on a gas or charcoal barbecue and will not break even when subjected to high temperatures.Follow the same steps as you would if you were baking on a baking sheet or using cast iron, but first allow your pizza stone to heat up alongside your grill while it is preheating.By dusting corn starch across the surface of your stone, you can determine whether or not it is hot enough.Smoldering indicates that the temperature is optimum for baking your pizza.

                                                      If it quickly bursts into flames, it’s too hot to handle.

                                                      4. Using A Grill Top Pizza Oven – My Favorite Method

                                                      10. Before cutting and serving, remove the pan from the oven and set it aside to cool for 4-5 minutes.

                                                      • When cooking on a pizza stone, I try to keep the grilling duration between 7 and 10 minutes.
