    What are Pizza Fries?

The name says it all: French fries covered with pizza sauce, cheese and other toppings. They’re delicious. There are two of my favorite meals in this dish, and I really enjoy the crispy fries with the many pizza tastes. They’re cheesy and delicious, and you’ll love them.

    French Fries

    • You may either prepare your own handmade French fries or you can use frozen French fries for this recipe. Homemade French fries: I have a simple method for making French fries, and the extra time it takes to prepare them is well worth the effort. In fact, you can prepare handmade fries in the same amount of time it takes to bake a batch of frozen fries.
    • French fries that have been frozen: If you don’t want to cook your own French fries, you may use your favorite frozen French fries in this recipe. Simply choose your favorite brand and bake them according to the directions on the package before assembling your pizza french fries.

    How to Make Pizza Fries

    • After you’ve finished making the French fries, you may start assembling the pizza fries. I made a pepperoni pizza variation of this recipe: The following ingredients: shredded mozzarella cheese
    • marinara or pizza sauce
    • Mini pepperoni or standard sliced pepperoni divided into quarters
    • mini pepperoni is preferred.
    1. Place the French fries in a baking dish or on a sheet pan and bake for 30 minutes.
    2. Having them not all on top of each other ensures that they each get a share of the toppings, which is preferable.
    3. Half of the cheese should be sprinkled over the top of the French fries.
    4. Spoon the sauce over the cheese, then top with the remaining cheese to finish.
    5. Pepperoni should be placed on top of the cheese.

Bake the fries for 5 to 8 minutes, or until the cheese has melted, until they are crisp and golden.

    Other Toppings

    • Pepperoni is one of my favorite toppings, but you may use a variety of other ingredients. Depending on the toppings you prefer, you may want to precook them beforehand, which is why I’ve included instructions for doing so in this list. A variety of meat toppings, such as crumbled cooked sausage, shredded cooked chicken, chopped ham, and cooked ground beef, are available for you to experiment with.
    • I personally prefer mozzarella cheese, but you could also use provolone, cheddar, Monterey jack, or a mixture of any of these cheeses instead. It would also be nice to sprinkle some grated Parmesan over the fries before baking them, as described above.
    • For quick veggie toppings, try black olives, finely diced onion, or finely chopped bell pepper
    • mushrooms, on the other hand, would be fantastic, but you’d have to cook them first
    • and tomatoes, of course, would be fantastic.
    • If you enjoy this dish, you might also like my other pizza French fries recipe, which uses ″fries″ made from pizza dough. This recipe can be found here. 1 batch of handmade French fries (or frozen French fries, as noted in the recipe)
    • 10 tiny pepperoni
    • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

    • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
    • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Using a shallow oven-proof dish, arrange the fried French fries.
    • Half of the cheese should be sprinkled over the top of the fries. Finish with a dollop of marinara sauce. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the sauce and top with the pepperoni to finish it off.
    • Place the dish in the oven at 350°F for 5-8 minutes, or until the cheese has melted. Serve as soon as possible

    What do we need?

    How to make Pizza Fries

The whole recipe, with step-by-step instructions, may be found at the bottom of this post on the recipe card.

    1. Passata, tomato puree, fresh oregano, thyme, garlic powder, and onion powder are mixed together, then drizzled over the cooked french fries until well coated.
    2. Grated cheddar and mozzarella are sprinkled on top, and then sliced peppers are arranged on top.
    3. More cheese and a generous pinch of oregano are sprinkled on top, and then pepperoni slices are arranged on top. Return to the oven for about ten more minutes, or until the cheese has melted and the pepperoni has cooked through

ADVICE FROM THE EXPERTS Grated mozzarella provides that wonderful stretch when you’re pulling out those french fries, but it’s a little bland on its own, so I like to mix it with some sharp cheddar to give it a little more flavor. This will provide you with both the stretch and the flavor you desire. Immediately before serving, sprinkle with a little parsley.

    • Meanwhile, combine the passata, tomato puree, all but a pinch of the oregano, thyme, garlic powder, and onion powder in a large mixing bowl

    • As soon as the chips are through cooking, we want to stack them (rather than arranging them in a single layer), so either stack them in the center of the baking sheet or stack them on a smaller baking tray. My preferred method is to use a smaller tray and then serve the pizza fries directly off the tray
    • To assemble, drizzle the sauce over the chips and sprinkle over half of the cheddar and half of the mozzarella.
    • Sprinkle the remaining cheddar and mozzarella over the top, followed by the sliced red pepper.
    • Sprinkle the remaining sprinkle of oregano on top, and then add the pepperoni slices to finish it off.
    • Place the pan back in the oven and bake for another 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and the pepperoni is fully cooked
    • Prior to serving, remove the dish from the oven and sprinkle over the chopped parsley
    • Is it possible to cook Pizza Fries ahead of time? I wouldn’t advocate cooking these fries ahead of time because they are best eaten right soon after they are made. If you’re preparing homemade chips, the following are the best potatoes to use: Rooster potatoes, which are red-skinned floury potatoes, are one of my favorite ingredients. You may use any floury potato variety, including Russet, Desiree, Maris Piper, and Kind Edward, as long as it’s floury. The following pepperoni is the best to use: I like to use thinly sliced Italian pepperoni or salami with a diameter of 4-5cm, which is around 4-5cm in diameter. Ideally, one that has been pre-sliced, so that the slices are of the same thickness. Pepperoni that is hot and spicy is my preference, but you may use a milder pepperoni if you like. To make it even more straightforward, consider the following: Instead of creating your own pizza sauce, buy pre-made pizza sauce.
    • Make use of a ready-made grated/shredded cheese mixture.

Perfect Potatoes for Homemade Fries (Chips)

So, which potatoes are the finest for making fries (chips)?Russets or Yukon Golds are two of my favorite varieties of pears in North America. The latter is my favourite option since the flesh is a wonderful golden yellow color and has a delicious buttery flavor, which makes it my favorite.Elfe Potatoes are a comparable cultivar to Yukon Golds that may be found in the United Kingdom.Maris Piper and King Edwards are two more excellent alternatives.Certain potatoes, such as Russets, do require parboiling before baking in order to achieve that lovely golden crisp color, and I usually do this with them.

Yukon golds, on the other hand, I simply soak in cold water for about an hour, fully rinse, and pat dry before baking, and they turn out perfectly.

How to get the perfect fries shape

I cheat and use the KitchenCraft Potato Chipper, French Fry Vegetable Cutter/Dicer Machine, which is really convenient and produces perfectly shaped fries in record time. With two blades, one for a chunkier chip and another for fries, I use the smaller of the two blades to make them.In fact, you don’t even have to peel the potatoes if you don’t want to; you can simply put them in with the skins still on if that’s what you prefer. It’s all high-quality fiber. The skins are preferred by my children, so when I make them for the whole family, I peel them to ensure that everyone is satisfied.

    Easy Pizza Fries (Chips)

Takeaway-style pizza meets home-style fries in this deliciously flavor-packed dish for a delectable takeaway-style meal at home. These pizza fries are very delectable.

    Pizza fries

Our completely loaded fries are a favorite of ours. They’re topped with bacon, cheese, and sour cream, and they remind me of skiing vacations in the Alps, which we don’t have access to right now due to the weather.Great variations on the subject, with flavors of Southern Italy and colors of the Italian tricolor, these pizza fries are a delicious variant on the theme.A taste of handmade pizza without the hassle of preparing a foundation, and with the added pleasure of crispy potato wedges.Perfect for a relaxing Friday night in front of the television.I know that oven chips seem really sinful, but because they are baked rather than deep fried, there is far less fat involved, and you can afford to be a little kinder to yourself.

Place your feet up and relax with an Italian beer as you indulge in a little treat.Isn’t it true that we all deserve one of those?

Why you will love pizza fries

    • What’s not to love about a pizza topped with greasy fries?
    • They are SOOOOOOO YUMMMMMMMMMMMM!
    • Using oven chips to make pizza fries makes the process simple and hassle-free.
    • Homemade food is always less expensive and has less calories than takeout
    • Their versatility allows you to customize them with your favorite pizza toppings to make them uniquely yours.

    Pizza chips ingredients

    • Oven chips — I prefer to purchase mid-price branded oven chips since I find that they are much more consistent in size than the bargain supermarket kind.
    • Making your own pizza sauce is an option, although the canned sauces from the major Italian brands are typically good. Choose one that appeals to you. Leftovers can be frozen and used for another dinner at a later time. If you like, you may add a few oregano leaves towards the end. You could even make your own barbecue sauce to serve with it!
    • Shredded Mozzarella, drained and set aside.
    • Cheddar cheese, grated – I enjoy a well-flavored cheese with a strong flavor. Simply get a block of supermarket own brand cheese for cooking purposes
    • you will not want pricey farmhouse cheese in this case.
    • salami/pepperoni – use whatever you choose, regular or spicy!
    • basil – a few fresh leaves for garnishing is plenty. (optional)

How to make pizza fries – the recipe

To begin, gather your ingredients. If you’re having veggie fries, you may omit the salami and use whatever toppings you like instead. In the first step, preheat the oven to 350°F and cook the fries according to the package directions until they are golden brown.No-Fuss Suggestion We usually use one of those mesh oven trays to cook our oven chips since the results are significantly superior on these.Only a few pounds, they can be put in the dishwasher, and they will survive for years!Transfer the chips to an oven-safe dish when they have finished cooking in step two.

(I prefer to cook using a cast-iron skillet.) Give them a generous sprinkling of salt and then pile on your desired toppings.Reheat the chips in the oven for 5–10 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and is bubbling, as directed in Step Three.Add a sprinkle of freshly ground black pepper and a few basil leaves on top, then serve.
