If you’re creating your own pizza dough, you’ll need to start by preparing the dough.I prefer to use the same 2 ingredient pizza dough that I use in my 2 ingredient air fryer pizza recipe since it is so simple to make.Just a little bit of yoghurt and self-raising flour mixed together will do the trick.
It’s really simple!Combine the yoghurt and flour in a large mixing bowl until a dough is formed.You may adjust the consistency by adding additional water or flour.
If the mixture is too ″wet,″ add a bit more flour.Then, on a lightly floured surface, lay out the dough into a rectangle and distribute the passata or pizza sauce equally across the top of the dough rectangle.Then, over top of the sauce, sprinkle the shredded cheese and add any other toppings you choose.It is possible that the following step will be somewhat messy, depending on the consistency of your pizza sauce.
If the mixture is really fluid, it may probably flow down the edge, resulting in a splattered mess on your fingers.You will be folding the dough lengthwise into a ‘roll,’ and once the pizza has been wrapped up, you will need to cut the roll into slices to serve.Make sure you use a sharp knife, or even a serrated edged knife, to provide a clean cut without having to crush the pizza roll down too much during the cutting process.Once the roll has been sliced, it is necessary to gently move the slices to a baking sheet and place them flat on the sheet.I cooked these pizza rolls in my Power Air Fryer and simply placed them in the air fryer basket without removing them from the pan.All of them were touching one other, which I felt was acceptable since I wanted to serve them as a single unit on a plate so that they could be easily taken apart when it was time to eat them.

They may be created with your own homemade pizza dough or with pre-made pizza dough or puff pastry, depending on your preference. Each variety will provide a distinct result, albeit they will all be as delicious.
Making A Pizza Roll In An Air Fryer Vs Oven
Both methods will yield comparable results, however an air fryer will cook faster than an oven, while an oven will provide you with more area to make more pizza rolls! When I can get away with it, I’ll use my air fryer instead of my oven because it cooks food so much faster and prevents the entire kitchen from becoming overheated from the oven’s heat.
- 3 cups natural or Greek yoghurt
- 350 grams self-rising flour
- 240 grams butter
- 1 tin/carton of passata/pizza sauce (or enough to cover the dough)
- 1 tin/carton of tomato sauce (or enough to cover the dough)
- 1 tablespoon dried herbs (optional)
- 1 cup grated cheese (choose your favorite

- Mix the flour and yoghurt together in a large mixing basin until a dough is formed. To prevent the mixture from becoming too moist and sticky, add in a little extra flour. If it is excessively dry, a small amount of water can be added. When rolling out the dough, you must avoid having it stick or fall to the floor.
- The dough should be rolled out into a rectangle on a lightly floured work surface.
- Spread the pizza sauce/passata on top of the pizza crust. You may use your favorite pizza sauce or simply some plain spaghetti sauce to make this dish if you want. You must be cautious that it does not become too runny, because then it will just run off the dough. I prefer to use the Pizza Express pizza sauce cans that are available for purchase.
- Sprinkle your grated cheese on top of the tomato sauce and then top with your favorite ingredients.
- In order to make a sausage form out of the pizza, carefully turn it over lengthwise.
- Cut the pizza roll into even slices using a sharp knife or a serrated knife.
- Using care, carefully lay the pizza rolls on a baking sheet (if you’re baking them in the oven) or immediately into the air fryer basket.
- Cook for approximately 8 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius, or 12 minutes in the oven. During the cooking process, check on them halfway through to ensure they are not cooked too soon
